What children learn and experience during their early years can shape their views of themselves and the world and can affect their later success or failure in school, work, and their personal lives. Kindergarten school teachers introduce children to mathematics, language, science, and social studies. They use games, music, artwork, films, books, computers, and other tools to teach basic skills.
In addition, kindergarten Teachers help young children to bridge the gap between preschool and first grade, expanding their students' knowledge base while cultivating their identity, independence and self-esteem. Kindergarten Teachers must have a love for children and should be consistent, empathetic, flexible and patient. To become a Kindergarten Teacher, I strongly agree that you should earn at least a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education or Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and obtain your state-level teaching certification.
Kindergarten Teachers often work in self-contained classrooms, instructing students in language arts, reading, mathematics, social studies, science and, at some schools, art, music and physical education. In an effort to meet each student's needs, they may work with children on an individual basis or in small groups, as well as interacting with the class as a whole. On the other hand, they also must maintain a safe and orderly environment so that their students can grow intellectually and emotionally. Public school Kindergarten Teachers must have at least a bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year institution and a teaching license.
Furthermore, Choosing a teacher training program that has been accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education, ensures that you'll receive a comprehensive education. This should include courses in child development, early childhood education, family relations and instructional methodology for the many subjects you will teach, as well as completion of a student-teaching internship.
In conclusion, I strongly agree that the kidergarten teachers should have atleast bachelor degree. This is because, preschool children learn mainly through play and interactive activities. The teachers capitalize on children’s play to further language and vocabulary development, improve social skills and introduce scientific and mathematical concepts . So, without the qualification that they should have, kindergarten teachers will not afford to balance all the tasks that have been assigned to them.
